Mary McLoughlin

Mary McLoughlin is a professional oil painter who works from her studio in downtown Peterborough. She studied Fine Art at the University of Toronto before moving to Peterborough where she has been painting for over 20 years.

From 2002 to 2016 she has painted large scale flowers in oil on canvas. Her latest work is a series called “Intimate Landscapes” based on what she experiences in the forests around Peterborough.

Mary exhibits her work regularly and she has shown in galleries in Bancroft and Fenelon Falls. You can find her work in the Gallery Shop at the Art Gallery of Peterborough and her paintings can be seen in Andrea Hillo’s book The Artists of Kawartha, (pp. 52&53).
