@markhinanMark Hinan is a multimedia artist whose creative practice has evolved across sculpture, painting, line drawing, woodcarving, ceramics, and many other forms. While he has taken a variety of community art courses, his artistic development has been largely self-directed.
Inspired by nature, Mark explores the shapes, colours, and movement found in animals and plant life. Whether painting a pine tree through changing seasons and light or sculpting the subtle tilt of a bird’s head, he is continually drawn to observing and expressing the natural world.
In recent years, Mark’s work has shifted away from strict representation toward a more open exploration of simplicity, expression, and the unknown through sculpture. This evolving direction reflects a desire to move beyond what feels safe or expected while remaining grounded in his connection to nature.
Mark divides his time between my family life, working full-time in the studio, and exhibiting work in local studios and art shows.
