Mark Hinan

“I am a multimedia artist who works with sculpting, painting, line drawing, woodcarving, ceramics and almost everything in between. I have taken various community art courses but am largely self-taught. I find inspiration in nature for my art: the shapes, colours and movement of animals and plant life. I am fascinated by the natural world and how to convey that through my art whether in a painting of pine tree at different times of the day and year to a sculpture of a bird and getting the tilt of its head just right. I spend my time between my family, working full time in the studio and showing my work in local studios and art shows.” – Mark Hinan
