WebsiteDon Clark is a potter whose work with clay began in high school in the early 1970s. Encouraged by his art teacher, Stuart Aikman, he pursued ceramics after graduating, studying with Ron Roy at Centennial College from 1976 to 1979.
From 1980 to 1981, Don apprenticed with Kayo O’Young, where he learned the discipline of eggshell porcelain. He later taught continuing education pottery classes at Central Technical School in Toronto from 1982 to 1987. In 1985, he also studied Raku pottery with British Columbia potters Mas Funo and Richard Tanaka.
Don maintained an independent studio from 1979 to 1991, participating in many craft fairs and private studio exhibitions. In 1991, she shifted into a career in health care before returning to pottery in 2012.
